We approached this session a little differently. I absolutely wanted to create something more colorful, incorporating the concept of using subtle color combinations, natural light and a wide aperture creating a shallow depth of field. The master of this is undoubtedly Phil Sharp in the UK, and I was inspired by his images.
My studio is not optimally positioned for natural light. Light only comes in from 5 p.m. until +/- 8 p.m., and of course only when it's clear outside, which is almost never in rainy Belgium. For most of these images, I therefore used strobes to replace the sun, and this worked very well.
I used my Nikon Z7 and for the first time, I shot everything with the Zeiss Otus 55mm in manual focus.
